Car Accident Victim Finds Compensation When Others Said “No”
After you’ve been in an accident, you’re likely to ask,“How do I find a car accident lawyer?” But you don’t want any lawyer, what you really want to know is, “How do I find a good lawyer?”
We recently received a letter from a client who perfectly defined the experience of finding a good lawyer.
As you’ll read below, this client realized the insurance company was doing what they do best – attempting to pay as little as possible to a car accident victim. He called another attorney who turned down his case. What seemed to be a dead end was a blessing in disguise. The client did what a lot of people don’t realize they should: he sought a second opinion.
In doing so, he found three things not everyone gets to experience with their lawyer.
- Someone who will listen, communicate and treat you like they’re helping a friend.
- A lawyer who understands that you need to know they are committed to you and your case.
- A law firm who works together to support clients and build trust.
Here is Steven’s letter.
After my car accident, as time went on, it became more and more clear to me that my insurance company was not looking out for my best interests. I tried to contact a local attorney office. I was told that I didn’t have a case because of a previous injury. I tried to explain that my back was broken in two places from the car accident. This fell on deaf ears. An attorney friend of mine suggested Springer and Steinberg. He gave me the number and I called Jeff Springer immediately.
This turned out to be fantastic advice. From the moment I first talked with Jeff, I felt like I found a friend and trusted ally. Michaela Lloyd became a wonderful friend that I relied on constantly for help and advice. I was always treated with respect, dignity, and kindness every time I called the office. If the person I was trying to reach wasn’t in, I would receive a call back very shortly. I never felt like I was “just another client” to them. I felt like I was a friend that they were trying to help out.
After 3 1/2 years, I had to attend a deposition hearing where I had the pleasure of meeting Matt Giacomini. Matt explained the situation to me for what was about to transpire. My insurance company finally did the right thing, and paid me the full amount of what I was insured for. We did not have to go to court. The nightmare was finally over!
Without the help of the Springer and Steinberg law firm, I had absolutely no chance of a fair settlement. I would wholeheartedly recommend Springer and Steinberg to all my friends and family, if ever any of them found themselves in the horrible situation that I was in.

Jeff Springer is a founder and partner of Springer and Steinberg. Michaela Lloyd is a skilled paralegal, and Matt Giacomini is a Colorado native, third-generation lawyer, and began practicing law in 1984. Together, they helped Steven receive the compensation he deserved.
As is the situation with many injury cases, the insurance company knows what excuses they can use in an attempt to avoid or minimize payment to the injured party. Familiarity with these tactics weighs heavily on the strategies used to seek fair compensation for an injury.
