Joel Richardson is a seasoned litigation attorney with experience across all manner of civil practice areas. Admitted to the State Bar of Colorado in 2005, he has litigated and tried cases on a variety of matters in state and federal courts in Colorado. In addition to trial court experience, Joel has argued and briefed numerous cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Joel’s background in English language and writing studies allows him to succinctly and clearly communicate with clients and effectively present his clients’ arguments to judges, arbitrators, mediators, and opposing counsel.

Joel has represented individuals, governmental entities, and businesses in all manner of disputes, from pre-litigation through appeals. On behalf of his clients, he has obtained favorable settlements and judgments, whether advocating on behalf of plaintiffs or defendants. His experience includes personal injury matters, contract disputes, property damage caused by negligence, nuisance, and/or trespass, professional negligence, defective products, and insurance coverage disputes.

As a teenager Joel moved from a small town in Kansas to the Denver metro area, where his family had always visited on vacation. He graduated from Lakewood High School and the University of Colorado at Denver, and his love of Colorado has only grown while practicing law in the Denver metro area for the last eighteen years.

When he is not advocating for the best interest of his clients, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage children along with the family pets, two dogs and two cats named in honor of Colorado Avalanche players. Joel’s interests include snowboarding, hiking, camping, kayaking, live music, movies, and visual arts.
